how are the fiat coupe turbo's?
m8 it will rot within 2days of owner ship and the arches start to go after bad use,my mates son has one-a 20v turbo ,and hes had 3 gearboxes,2 engines,3turbos and 2 handbrake cables!!!and the bonnets can take your roof in because there is only 1 hinge holding it down and wen it fliks up the lights and all come up,so your then screwwed!!
the 20 valve ones have design fault with the pistons and clearance the 16 valves ones are the better ones to go for also check that the key code light goes out once started as this can be big trouble also the injectors light should go out a few seconds after starting it if it stays on its more likely to be loom fault . I should no I work on them day in day out

My mate had 1 for a year and it never broke once, and he absolutly killed it everyday.
Was rapid as standard and beat stage1 cossies.
Timing belts are costly to get done. other than that there fine his had 60,000 miles on it with full history, full leather etc etc
He sold it for £3500 so cheaper than a cossie and nearly into erst money.
I although its a fiat there a far better equipt car than an erst

All i know is that my mate had a bog standard 20v turbo and my other mate had a stage1 4x4 cossie running 18psi boost and the 20v turbo was quicker. My mates 4x4 was rolling roaded at 257bhp so take of the tranny losses etc etc and its perfectly viable that the 20v is quicker.
Thay are a cracking car for the money imo but suffered BADLY from torque steer used to pull like a bastard towards the central reservation when booting it in 4th.
Geared proper long as well.

yes they garrett turbo fitted to them .its just that the breather part of the engine is not all that and causes oil to back up into the turbo seen it lots of times and try not to fit a cone filter as it burns out the mass meter then you fucked as they cost 490 +vat
mate had one years and years ago
bda bits:
the 20V version is better in someways than the 16V version, but the 16V is the same engine as found in the delta's, so it's going to be fairly good
if it needs a cambelt change it's an engine out job
the metal the panels are made from is about as thick as tracing paper, and you can dent it simply by poking it with your finger
the leather in the back is really slippery
uch:
you can't fix the headlights
good bits:
they are really really fast for what they are
handling is great when it was new, not so sure how it will handle when they are this old
torque steers like a tripped out volvo T5 (ok, so thats good or bad depending on how you look at that sort of thing)
the dash is great
after that, make up your mind time

but if the adjustable little lever breaks you have to buy a whole new headlight
back then they were around the £300 mark
so about half the value of the car
don't get me wrong, if you gave me one for free i'd take it and drive it like a loonatic
but i wouldn't spend my money on one, may mate bought his for £14500 and sold it about 18 mnths later for around £8500
i told him to buy the 944 turbo but he wasn't having any of it and thats his fault
