Thinkin of selling the Escos.....
...got too many fast cars so one has to go...Ferrari---NO....Saff---NO....Escos---maybe.
This is NOT afor sale post...i just want an idea of what its worth selling whole or breaking it.
It does need finishing...only minor though!...On a 909 motorsport shell with a PROPER cossie logbook all above board!...DVLA gave the chassis number and although its a P Reg it dont need a CAT!!!
Quite a big spec with the Ohlins remote cannister coilovers and 6 pot AP's 356mm discs etc...Engine done about 3k since rebuild on a stage 3 now on a greys anti lag setup running only 20psi!..and on the small escos block head!!!...Saftey devices cage,buckets,harnesses....EVERYONE looks alot take photos of the car
Plus Fast Ford etc will feature it i reckon
So break or sell whole?...Not looking for silly money for it! (IF i part with it!)

...i know but since i got the Saff i am just addicted to real RWD power...dont get me wrong the Escos is GREAT but its a pain in the arse to get into and takes about 20minutes to strap in
...So i just dont use it now!

Eagle it is essentially finished...needs suspension setup and boost set up and a couple of odds and sods....i was never goin to go more than 360ish BHP (capable now at that) cause of the tranny...hence why i bought the Saff!

Like most things cossie, especially heavily modified ones, its almost certianly worth more in parts Phil.
I can see why you want to sell it though, it must seem pretty tame after the saph!
If i had both those cars sat on my driveway i dont think it would be often i picked up the keys to the escos instead of the mentally quick tail happy saph, that sounds like far more fun to me!
Maybe you should try a couple of trackdays in the escos first though, you might fall back in love with it if you put it in an environment where you can really use it in anger, as the local dual carriageway is never going to be a fair fight between than and your saph in terms of amount of fun to drive.

Its not RAC logbooked or anything is it? So probably not any good comparing it to a group n rally car or whatever which you see for sale quite often, and at the same time its not a common spec for a road car either, so hard to compare directly to them.
Cause of the specialised nature of it as a road car, but cause its also not quite a competition car, i bet you struggle to get much over 10K for it as a whole car, as it is only like to really appeal as a trackday toy and thats a limited market, but obviously you would get far more than that in bits for it.
If you are going to sell it, put it in fastford first so at least its known to people beyond the world of PassionFord in the first place
...to make it a road car again it would only need front and rear seats and cage unbolted and for the price you'd get for that youd get mint leather..It was a road car when i bought it i just put suspension and brakes on a few other goodies...its genuine Escos on logbook..i was told Steve Scott built it.
Dont really want to break it.....too much aggro i'd rather let it sit there until i got interested again...wont give it away either.

Most people buying roadgoing escos's tend to want unmolested examples, so having bolt holes for the cage etc probably wont appeal to most people.
If you hold onto it long enough then im sure someone will come along at some point with enough cash to make it worth your while, its just trying to get rid of it in a hurry thats going to see you struggling to get good money for it.
Personally i think you should sell the gearbox and diffs out of it, put a T5 in it, and swap the engines between that and the saph, then sell the saph, and have the escos as a 500bhp+ rwd beast, would be one hell of a weapon like that

Plus you seem to actually enjoy working on your cars, and it will probably stop you getting bored if you have an engine change and rwd conversion etc to do

Just trying to think of ways to keep it interesting to you.
What is the difference in wheelbase out of interest between the saph and the escos, i never thought there was very much in it depsite the difference in overall length as it looks like its mainly overhang that makes the difference?

Not a lot then really, 2.5" out of that sort of distance is going to make very little difference in the real world i should think.
