Had my S2 on classic, was modified and had no probs with it. Both HIC and Adrian Flux have done me policies with agreed value. And as Zippy said, you don't need to use your ncb, so can stick that on a 2nd car if you have one.

i'm sure it was Adrian Flux that said they couldn't do classic insurance if the car was modified. They have quoted Ł340 fully comp with 5 years ncd with 180 bhp chip, wheels, k&n and magnex. This is through my lass with me as a named driver. We are both 36. We pay this through Swinton at the moment with Highway insurance (is this HIC) ?

Adrian Flux insure me on the S1 now, so they should have quoted you.
Highway is also via Flux, Flux are the intermediary supplier. Not sure if it's also HIC as well..presume they are also a broker finding the cheapest quote so could well deal with Highway.

My S1 was refused classic car insurance as i didnt have a garage!!!

I was quoted Ł900 by classic due to this.

They did quote me shawn at Ł340 fully comp but it's not a classic policy. I suppose it's a good quote really. I thought it would be a bit cheaper on a classic though and it should be should'nt it ? Being old (36) has it's advantages i suppose.

Yeh. I was told that classic is norm slightly cheaper as they don't offer any cancellation fee returns if you sell the car part-way through a yr policy. If the agreed value is quite high tho, this may offset any 'discount' I'd think.

Still a very good price tho mate
