Default For all those posts about Cosworth top mounts .....pics

I cant believe it but my car was built with TAS top mounts in it , theyre crap at best and the bearings fail instantly , my ones had so much play in them i was worried about jacking the car up and the struts falling out .
Replacement gold line bearings were over £100 so i devised a plan to get round it !
The very best Top mounts are WRC items.huge bearings and indestructable , also readily available , only drawback is the mods require to your turret tops mean you need the longer struts to suit the WRC hubs , that and i didn't have time to fk about !
So heres the best of both worlds , not expensive and still retains std turret tops .

They are the Tits Ian , stole em off e-bay and promised myself i'd fit them one day , this seemed the logical way to get them on and not have to weld on the towers we spoke about which meant changing struts

Spot on pal....they only raised the turret due to the increased travel of the dynamics shockers....Your method may prove better for the race car as by the looks you can adjust eccentricity on the top mount...on the world car its fixed at the outer most point.....is your car on standard or ally hubs?

That was partly my idea for the design the WRC mounts fit inside the turret and the TAS plates allow all the adjustment , the cars on the Alloy GpA hubs which have slotted dampers for camber , this means i dont even have to change springs , maybe a bit of adjustment on spring platform but even thats quite close i reckon .

Does that mean that the Compbrake ones are any different to the original TAS ones???
