They fitted them to the vans at my last job and actually added minutes up and docked the lads

They even called 1 lad in to the office to explain y he left his house at 08.32 and arrived on site at 08.35.

That might sound reasonable as he is supposed to start work at 8 but the site he is working on is more than a 30 min trip

What made it worse was after the blatently obviouse error the engineer then said "well thats what the tracker says" and was adement the tracker was right

That's about it mate

The way to look at it is that it is their car/van, so they have every right to know what you are doing with it.

As you've said, if they will pay you a bit more, opt out if it bothers you that much.

Buuuuttt, is it a big company? As long as they have no reason to suspect you of doing things you shouldn't, then they probably won't even look.

the only reason you should be worried about them knowing what youre doing, is if you're doing something you shouldn't

mate ive already been asked why the speedo on a S40 was showing a average speed of 94mph and average 16mpg

but my place aint bothered tbh,,,,,,,,,,, the 4 litres of engine oil in the back of the van and the valeting bill of 40 quid to clean out they seemed more anoyed at,,,,,,,,, that and the fact i took it with a full tank and dropped it back on FUCK ALL diesel

im no longer allowed to even open the van doors these days,,,,,,,,,, even though my engine is in the workshop and my car is 20 miles away they aint changing there mind
