How many valves does a 2.0 TDCi 115PS Mondeo have?
My dads 1.8 TDCi focus had 8 i was told, So i wonderd if my mates mondeo had 8 or 16? And more to the point what is the valves job?

most 2 litres where the Ford Puma engine, which is a 16v lump with several power outputs.
IIRC the 115ps is the Common Rail Non-VNT turbo.
Unless its a fairly new then the engine could be one of the PSA lumps.

as alex said,, valve let the air fule mix in,, and the burnt gases out,, the more valve area we have,,, the more we can fill the chamber with our lovely air fuel mix
