Default Head work

Right then t2 is off and about to be rebuilt with a 360 bearing, and it on to the next job head gasket needs changing.

So do I have some headwork done whilst it is off. If so what should I have done and how much will it cost?

All depends on how mad you want to go. If you're keeping a T2 you may just want to get some basic porting and polishing done, not a lot of point having it fully ported out and big valves if you intend keeping the small turbo IMO.

If its done rightly then yes you should see improvements. Head work is expensive, for a full works head its usually in the range of £700-£1000 IIRC. Realisitically you are probably looking at a couple of hunred for some basic porting and polishing. Like anything though don't expect this to turn your car into a cossie muncher, but it will help.
