i bought the parts today and they cost Ł21.

AP recommend the upgrade as the pedal will be stronger to use with an uprated/heavier clutch.

Get some smaller hands? Get the missus to do it?

It is quite tight!

Make sure you protect your eyes when you remove the pedal box pivot retaining clips as they have a tendency to flick off at high velocity!!

when doing the conversion do you use the original spring as it seems a bit big for the mk5 pedal...........

Default mk 5 pedal

you dont use the spring ratchet or quadrant, junk it all it works with the pressure from you pressing the clutch and to stop the quadrant springing back too far you use the m8 locknut. make sure you put the m8 locknut on back to front as it will eventually cut into the quadrant and brake it if you dont.
