Unscrew the sensor then re-screw it onto the pillar pod.
I'll see if I can find a pic of mine for you...

I found a pic, but will have to upload later as I haven't the time now. I'll have to do it tomorrow/Thurs night for you.

i thought i would post apicture of the problem i have.

i have the little sensor on the pillar and its sort of clamped on between the windscreen and the pillar. looks like a bit of a mission to move it/if possible

not sure if it would hide behind one of the pods or if its gonna be right in the way.

Well my pic is very similar to Adam's so no point in posting it now.
My alarm sensor now fits directly onto the pillar up the top, having drilled a small hole to start the screw off. The wire simply fits over the top, just like it does on the A-pillar itself if you have no pod fitted.

thanks for your pics guys, they are perfect. i think im gonna buy one then see if i can modify it so i can have the sensor poking out next to the gauge at the bottom....

i would just reloacte my sensor but it would mean taking the windscreen out......its a very comprehensive alarm

Mine were pretty deep too (Autometer Ultra Lite Range) and on the second pod I seem to remember we had problems with one of the clamps being proper tight up to the pod and we had to modify the clamp for it to fit, nice and snug though

I found a pic, so have scanned it.
The sensor wire runs from under the pod to the outside, then over the front.
