Default What tyre pressures for TOTB (205/40/17) ERST

What do you recon I should set my tyre pressures at for TOTB? I usually have them set at around 35psi.

normal for top speed runs and handling, less for 1/4mile.

if your running stock road tyres your not gona come anywhere in handling or 1/4mile mind as others will have good tyres so grip, so maybe not worth arsing round with pressures really.

i usually set mine at 25psi but every car is different and your running 17s so maybe a bit less. but try different pressures on the day, good luck simon

CheeRS guys I shall keep them normal for top speed and handling and maybe lower them a bit for 1/4 mile

I've ran a 13.8 at brunters with 17's and crap Avon tyres I now have really good Yokos so we'll see what happens.

My car is going to get some abuse on Sunday. I've been looking forward to this event for ages. I'm also using a car trailer so I've got no excuse not to let it "ave it"

Looking forward to seeing it go. 35psi is way too much for 1/4 and geenral road, but good for top speed - try 25psi for 1/4. Good Luck.

25 front 30 rear for top speed & 1/4 IMHO

Then swap it round for handling.

You will nead to be able to steer the thing on the handling circuit, and a softer rear will help stop it sliding about from the back end.

If all else fails all the messing about with the pressure gague will piss off your competitors

Good luck
