Bleed valve.....
...got one off Stu a while ago to put in the actuator line to the amal...so i keep ecu control.....its like a tee piece but i forgot how to plumb it in
I assume the 2 outlets opposite each other go in line and the bottom goes to atmosphere...is that right?
Are you laughing at my stupidity or using a bleed valve or both?
Nothing wrong with these according to Stu and Karl!!!Especially as i am retaining ECU control...it just saves you from fucking about with different sized jets!

...a proper lockable one is more than ok mate.....Tuners dont genrally like em cause the customer can adjust his boost to destruction!!!
Bare in mind if you retain a working amal valve the ECU still controls it.

alot of crap talked about bleed valves, i had one on for years with no bother .just as long as you understand them
its been taken off now since the m.s.d. chip went in just cus stu saw it was anodised, so on his advice off it came.. brass lock ones or what you want, some tunners use them to get abetter power curve on the turbo.. i run a -34 so if you want to adjust the boost on that boy you need a crane
if i ever do need to tho i use a electric tyre infalter plumed into the actuater and that moves the rod no bother

Doug, I know what one looks like lol, just wondering why Phil's using an amal valve instead.
EDIT: Doh, I'm sure Phil's explanation wasn't there when I replied - too many windows open and a long day

EsCos Lektron valve is 2 port, and provides good boost control by the ECU (closed loop boost on P8 ECU).
An Amal valve is 3 port, and still controlled by the ECU, but often requires jetting to get the required boost levels.

........I did not remove a hose. Maybe Karl or Stu will see this post and explain how it works.
