2WD cosworth 4 pots on a fiesta
hello people, well im still collecting bits and building my hill climb and track day fiesta, i have just got myself some 4 pots forom a 2wd cossie, and wanted to know if anyone has fitted them to other fords, especilly the fiesta,
what discs do you use and will the caliper mouts fit the hub or do i need to make up an ally mount for them, (im a toolmaker so that sort of thing is not a problem)
cheers peeps and im making a nice long pic post for the rebuilds forrum

just done a bit of google investigating
ok the 2wd cossie brakes are 285mm
the 4wd cossie brakes are 278mm
and the rs 2000 brakes are 270mm
so if the rs 2000 brakes are a direct fit with the 4wd callipers and they are 4mm a side smaller then another 3.5 mm should not make any difference should it,?????
someone must have tried these buggers on there fiesta some time surely???

Hi mate
we tried fitting this Exact setup today on a friends mk2 xr2...
2wd 4pots and rs2000 discs..
discs sit where they should, but the calipers dont want to line up to the discs properly, going to have to take a grinder to the bolt holes and take a few mm off them, will be a trial and error job now, we had to put the old setup back on in the end
something just wasnt right with the angle they made the discs sit at
best thing to do is get hold of a spare hub and trial fit them off the car i think, and keep taking a little shave off the calipers with a grinder...
They WILL go on though, just a little bit of extra effort over the 4wd ones
hope this helps

well i have done it, and it was fairly easy too
ive opted for 260mm mondeo discs (4 stud) also come on scorpios)
i then got my goodrage front hoses modified with a banjo fitting on the end so they dont foul the cv joint,
then i hammered a sleeve into the calliper to reduce the bolt whole size from 12.2 to 10.2.
now with some high tensile cap head allen bolts m10 i bolted the calliper on with some nylock nuts and anti vibration washers just incace the nylon melts from the nuts,
anyway im just wating for my ebc redstufs to arrive then im going to try to fit the zetec s rear drums i have
but here is a comparison pic (ive posted it on my fiesta rebuild thread but thaught it would also be useful here)
before, 239mm xr2 brakes which are apparently more than adequate for the fiesta,

new. tasty.......
