Default Spring rates for front of 2wd Sapphire Cosworth

Anyone know what standard are?

Mine has Koni coilovers with stupidly hard 500 lb / inch on at the moment and I want to get new 2 1/4" springs somewhere in between std and them. 500 lb / in may well be good for a tarmac rally, but they're no bloody good for the road if you want a bit of comfort in between trackdays and nurburgring sessions.

The car is not used everyday, so I am prepared to sacrifice a lot of comfort for better handling, but the rear springs are just your normal shortened, uprated efforts and the handling is not really balanced. After 5 or 6 laps of Hockenheim, the front tyres go off cos the inside edges are getting too hot.

Any recomendations for sensible spring rates?

how are you all 'uprating' your suspension if you don't know what you're starting with???????????????

by the way the original, that is one mintay mofo mota. wouldn't mind a spin in that at christmas time - unless you got snow like we just had!
