Thats the Dilon mini-gun,now fitted to all RN ships for use against fast attack boats. Fires 7.62mm rounds.
Basically a baby version of the Phalanx system which I maintain, only my guns fire 20mm rounds at 4500 per minute to take out aircraft and missiles.

I thought the Mini- Gun was based upon 6 M16 barrels, wouldn't that make it fire 5.56 rounds? And it's Blaine's Mini- Gun in Predator

Ahhhhhh, cool, thanks for that. Obviously you know more than me as you are in the trade, but I thought that the Mini- Gun and Gattling Gun were two different guns, the "mini" being the handheld version. I guess not...
It has been awhile since I have watched the special features on Predator, but I'm sure that they said it was M16 based. Either way..... I want one for Xmas lol
