Swirl Pots......Yes or No
Been contemplating the idea and not sure what to make of them. Apart from being an extra shinny accessory, are they really an extra worth having.
I understand the principals of how a swirl pot works, and in theory it sounds to be a good extra. But from my understanding, doesn’t the thermostat housing act like a sort of swirl pot, by extracting air back into the headertank.
Just wondered what peoples views were on them, are they worth putting on or are they just really a extra shiny show piece.
If they are considered to be a good extra, do you guys a) blank of the top of the thermostat housing and run the one hose from the header tank to the top of the swirl pot, or b) providing the headertank has two breather ports, run one hose to the top of the thermostat housing and the other hose to the top of the swirl pot. What’s the better method!!!
CheeRS guys

Ur understanding is right. The Stat housing is a swirl pot - and works REALLY well as std. Swirl pots look stupid - two next to each other
Oil Seperators on the other hand, are defo worth it.

I agree, they do look the nutz, the more bling the better
How have you guys fitted them tho, with just one hose in top of swirl pot, or with two hoses, one in the top of thermostat and one in top of swirl pot.

Really it's only down to personal choice then with these. So to sum them up in a nut shell, they don't make a blind bit of difference, as the thermostat housing takes care of the job. Just if ya fancy a bit more bling, then these are another extra shiny bit.
