Default Will changing to Poly Bushes give me a harsh ride??

Don't like my setup at the mo, this is down to crap springs IMO anyway

I have bought some koni adjustables and will be using Eibach springs

I do have some poly bushes to fit as well, but will this make it just as bad as it is now?

Hate the harsh ride 'cos roads where I live ain't too sharp and not exactly flat PMSL

Feels like hitting a pot hole every time I hit a slight bump and really fooking annoys me

Am I doing the right thing by fitting the poly bushes or should I get a complete set of new standard ones?

konis are hard...

ride comfort means soft shox and springs

Got spax adjustables right now and was told koni should be the better shock of the two!

Told this by a respectable trader on here too

Anyway, the springs I have right now are like -30000000mm and stupidly low!!

Eibach are higher in the norm, would this comensate?

i dont have polly bushes but the konis give a very 'defined' ride maybe its because the car is VERY low (at the front anyway) and the konis have to be set to 'hard' to avoid the wheels twatting up into the arches!

You're not kidding about the roads, I live right on the coast - roads are all 'B' roads and fall apart as soon as they 'chuck' gravel ontop to give a new surface PMSL

Norfolk Council are proper Pikies I can tell ya!!

You sure the car just ain't too low and that's the cause of it?

Koni are better than spax!

Just not softer IMO

Go get std suspension if you want a smooth ride!

polys, for the money, are one of the best things you can do to improve your car.

We'll see, but wanted higher springs anyway
This could be one of the downfalls on mine right now

what i meant was the fact that my car is so low means i have to have the konis on hard.. that therefore makes the ride a little harsh.. i had higher springs on then i guess it could be set a little softer.. but at the expense of handling i expect.

my mate has koni's and poly bushes all round on his S2. his is quite a comfy ride even tho it is low to the ground. & our B roads in lincs can't be much better than yours!

handles pretty well too for a saloon car!!

James, fitting bushes to the car will not make the ride harder, but may transfer more road noise. The springs and dampers are in control of the "hardness". This is why you have ADJUSTABLE dampers, set them to full soft you twat if you want the ride to be more comfortable . I cannot believe how stupid you are at times (although I am beginning to ).

Mike, they are on FULL soft at the moment you twat

Springs are way too fucking low anyway, camber of that thing is unreal

So more noise, who cares, in my car you struggle to hear eachother when talking, hence the damn stereo install I now have, drown it all out

Cheers for your input Mike Has put my mind at ease LOL

What about if we both bring handbags to the next meet like Christian did on Tueday and have a contest!!

Well, all 4 of my tyres are like racing slicks on the inside PMSL
It is REALLY noticable when you look at it on concrete, not tarmac

This is so true! my old rst had konis and chassis dynamic springs and crashed around all over the place. The cossie came with the same set up but was far nicer.

I ran my konis on full soft on my rst everywhere but the track.

RST suspension is just shite.PERIOD

Paul.
