The standard done in our Series 2 lasted about 10 days.
We put a Valeo Fast Road one in late last year and now that's starting to slip. And we haven't even properly ragged the car yet.
Any leads on one that's up to the job but is still OK for road use?
Car currently runs 201 lbf.ft (at about 3250 rpm) and 190 bhp @ 13 psi
Thanks,
Simon

I think karl (Norris) put in an AP organic clutch with a different plate than normally supplied
i haven't heard anyone say they are a heavy clutch or even say they judder, may be worth while asking if he can supply one to you?
a mk5 pedfal and ratchet conversion would also be advisable

Depends on ur mileage and type of driving. A paddle shouldnt be used in a road car that does any kind of serious traffic driving, it will fail with time. Make sure u are getting the flywheel skimmed too, otherwise it's a waste of time. An organic clutch should never judder. I recommend the AP racing organic kit, that will last u for years.

I have an Alcon 6 paddle. So far has lasted longer than both my last 2 AP 4 paddles put together and with significantly more power. 6000 miles showing minimal signs of wear.
That's that jinxed now

AP 4 paddle in mine, running over 200 b.h.p.No problems at all,but would highly recommend the MK6 clutch peddle conversion as this assists what is a common problem with uprated clutches.
Peddle conversion is using a MK6 escort clutch peddle as it is adjustable, stronger and gives a longer reach. With the force of the new clutch the standard MK4 peddle can bend and doesn,t give a longer enough reach making for clunky gear changes. This conversion combined with a new clutch cable improves the clutch feel no end.All the conversion information is on the AP RACING website.
