hi guys i knew my car was a 1.6 on logbook thats how it started life went for a mot and they looked and engine and chassis numbers by seat and those on vin plate under bonnett and they match so surely mine cant be a rs turbo jus 1.6 converted??

How can i tell diff between 1.6 sport or rs turbo?

A 1.6 sport is what it says on the tin, they are a 1.6 carb with slightly sporty seats and they came with the same wheel trims as some of the xr2i did.
The RS TURBO is a totally different car mate, sorry to tell you but if you have bought a converted 1.6 thinking it a genuine rs turbo you have been well and truely done why did'nt you check all the numbers when you bought it?? it the first and most important job you do.

The previous owner should have informed you of this if they were a genuine seller.

 

it started life as a 1.6 then apparently a nut and bolt rebuild has everyfin rs turbo like recaros turbo steerin will EFI not carb dunno

 

The original 1.6s was originally on a carb but your has had the rebuild.

 

or a full rs turbo engine dropped in

I must be getting my wires crossed here???? To me it sounds like

Someone has had a frst that has been rotten or crashed and reshelled into a 1.6 shell,

OR

Over the years they have owned it, they've added bits from an rs turbo = a full replica inc engine, body etc....... = not a genuine fiesta rs turbo = no more than £1200

You need to inform your insurance that its a 1.6s with full rs turbo conversion = them asking for an engineers report and then they will insure it as a modified car = if you don't do this you are breaking the law and if you have an accident or get pulled by the police your insurance will be VOID and thats a 6 month driving ban.

I'm unsure if you have already sorted this?????

ye she is tidy very tidy im after 1500 mayb a lil less engine is sound jus needs valve stem oil seals
