can you recon a turbo yourself without upsetting the balance? my turbo's oil seals are starting to leak and was wondering if i can buy the recon kit and do it myself, also can you buy recon kits with a 360 degree bearing instead of the normal 270? the car is an rst so its a t03 unit

360deg' bearing requires some machining which would really need to be done by a turbo place.

As for the rest, Stu@Motorsport Developments sells the recon kits, so bttt for him.

i had the same question m8 and the answer is yes, ask stu for the kit £70 and its pretty easy, get your shaft balanced with the new nut on and reassemble it, costs about £25 to rebalance a shaft,

depends what you mean by "rebuild"

the diy seals repair kits stu sells are alrite

but when you start dismantling the core housing it gets a bit tricky, n everyhting has to be done to exact tolerences...
