Ford Motorcraft 071C
I change them every 4000 miles, less than £10 a time for a set of 4

Run 1.7 bar of boost - approx 24psi

is there actually a single best brand ?

i have always used champion c59 gapped to 25 thou on this engine been in there for 10 months and still perfect performance, i think whatever lasts a long time with high boost is good

When i went to order some for My S1, the guy looked in the book and said its a special plug for the S1 engine, He recommended the Champion C61ST. They cost me 35 quid for 4. They are a funny looking plug compared to others. I can't say what they perfrom like as i don't use the car, but it never fails to start with em, it don't missfire or anything, as for when under boost i couldn't tell you as again i don't use it. But the guy i bought them off reckoned they were the best plug to use, had to special order them from champion.

im using o91c standard ford plugs, my dealer said they no longer make 071c's?

any way, i gapped them down to 0.65 and im running 20psi with no problems what so ever, dont last long tho, 4000.

i had nks ones but they would only last 1000 miles

I use PP8 plugs in mine.....the standard plugs for a big turbo escort cosworth, was told these were good for when runnin lots of boost. No probs with mine so far, they're a bit pricey tho!

Mine has been in for over four harsh winter months in Norway. Started once a month and starts like a dream every time without me even touching the accelerator.

Always used NGK's but just bought some splitfire plugs to see what they're like. Anyone tried them?

there was a guy bought a bath, the other day, took it home ,was back the following day, ranting saying he tried filling it up,but the water kept coming out, geeza says to him,oh ,man ,you need a plug then, the guy then says, fook, you never said it was electric.

note~
no nationalites, races or genders were compromised in this partly politically correct quip.
