how do i get some opening rear quarters for my s2?do they seal well oor are they leaky!

 

i may be wrong here but i thought the s1 ones fitted straight in

 

I got a set of e bay for my old s2 just make sure the rubbers are in good nick.

 

Had series 1 opening rear glass on my series 2.They fitted with no leeks,but series 1 glass is brown tint and series 2 glass is green tint.Looked a bit odd so took them off.

 

You can still get the Green tint glassd from ford, good luck with the seals though

I got everything of mine new, even got a spare seal as they tracked down an extra one

 

As above, got new green tint glass on mine, they seal fine too, but my seals have seen better days

 

so which rear quarters do i want to be buying to get the green glass.those off an xr3 or sumats? thanks... or shud i just go to ford?or will they just mug me?

 

Glass was £49.50 per side, which i don't think is a bad price
The brackets and stuff will cost about £30 ish, but you can't get the opening hinges or seals anymore

 

Correct, I beleive the front hinges are ther same as the KA though? But yes the actual opening hinge, good luck

 

I got some s1 windows for the brackets then went to my local auto glass and they got me some green tint windows no probs. They were only about 17 pound +vat each.As for the seals u can buy it in lengths from a caravan store!

 

The seals for the opening rear quarters are one seal, there is no break in them

 

Maybe do m8 but they still do the same job! Did on mine!

I got S1 opening ¼'s for my S2 but rather than getting green tint rears I got the rest of the glass changed to bronze tint as well Looks different now

 

What including your windscreen?
