Hi mate, very common problem on these cars. However Rebuilding them aint as easy as it looks, but is possible with a little mechanical knowledge.
Have built 2 last year, but both needed new rotors.
Approx cost would be £2000,, I might have an engine but will have to check to see if it aint already sold.

I'm presuming its my tips as i've no compression in the top right plug as you look from underneath. What compression should there be in there?I'm still trying to get my head round how it works!!!! to used to stripping cossie and RS turbo lumps........... The RX is missfiring and backfiring and is struggling to rev as well as chucking a bit of blue smoke out when you try and boot it..................

There will soon come a point where it wont start at all, not advisable to drive as is due to the damage it may cause, and added cost when repairing.

should read 95+ the higher the reading the better, 95 being the minimum and indictaing a build is due.

Do a search for REWORX (Portsmouth) Mazda Tuning.... the acknowledged leaders in Mazda Rotary Engines, and have their 1/4 mile championship winning car in their workshop... Fantastic guys and unbeatable for answers to questions like this.
