I love the way Ka's drive, clios are ok up until about 30k miles when they tend to need lots done to them.

Having driven quite a lot of each, I'd suggest the new corsa [as long as its not the 3cylinder 1 litre bucket of poop] as I think they're nicer than both

Both are sh*t! gat a proper motor even if you are on a buget or cant afford high insurance! Why pay x amount for a newish crap car when you can spend alot less on a older car that has better perfomance and caracter??
Just saying like!

Id go for the Ka. The clio is a twat to work on. Looks well, but build quality is shite. Ka parts are easy to get, cheap, and easy to work on.

Learnt to drive in a clio and my instructor let me give it some and it was awful, And i borrowed me neighbours and his was as bad.

Got a KA as courtesy car and it was very nimble and could be thrown around corners...Didnt wanna give it back

My Daughter has had both,She had a Clio but totalled it when a bottom balljoint failed...

So i got her a Ka which is twice the car driving wise, feels nimble and responsive,It`s a little spartan inside but mega reliable, cheap to run and feels safer than the Clio did...

This her 1st car so i dont think so somehow

Danielle id say the KA, simply because(as someone else said) when they go wrong it will cost you alot more on parts than it would a british car and i think this would be a HUGE factor for you since it will be a 1st car, especially as with a 1st car you want it to be cheap to run and look after, out of the 2 the KA will be cheapest.

When I put my Focus RS in for a service I was given a Ka as a courtesy car. I was less than impressed at first but after just a few miles I was sold. The Ka was great fun, albeit lacking in straightline speed but show it a roundabout and its a right laugh. It handles better than it has a right to given how it looks. The cabin can be fairly basic but i'm not one for gadgets anyway, as long as its got heating and a radio, it'll do.

I would defo choose the Ka over any french pap.

My Wife wanted a Ka and we looked at a few then she see a Clio and just fell in love.
We had the Clio 2 years and nothing went wrong with it, was just seviced. Was 5 years old when we bought it but only had 28000 miles and a full history.

As above test drive both and see what You Think not others

Steve.

Ive Owned a KA and Now have a Company Car Clio Diesel... The KA Build was appaling, the seat cover wore through in under 10k miles, the clutch went on it and 15K miles, The Coil pack failed at 20k miles and the spark plugs seized in it

On the Upside it cornered like it was on rails.... Was lacking power though used to struggle above 65mph But there are many cheap conversions out there... Mate has one with a 1.7 puma lump in and its great.

The Clio on the other hand is Bomb Proof... (Being a company car) its been driven Hard, Red lined in every gear, Run low on oil taken on other cars on the road it shouldnt have etc etc etc and the only complaint i have is the Sunroof Rattles!

If it was my Money (As much as i loved the KA's handling) would be the clio.
