Hi guys need to put this up for a mate.

His turbo on his S2 holds boost fine when its cold but as it gets
warmer the boost level starts to drop off and now it peak and
holds 7psi instaed of 1bar.

Even when he is just taking it easy around town by the time he gets
home the manifold and turbo are glowing very bright.

Not to sure whats causing this so any help and ideas would be great.

He changed the thermostat last weekend and put new antifreeze.

Does he have a cat in the exhaust?

not uncommon for them to glow like fook anyway

 

Nah mate just a straight through magnex fella,

Yeah i know the glow but this glowing to the point
where it lights up the whole engine bay in the dark

 

looks cool in the dark though

 

How long has it been doing that for?

 

Don't seem quite right...

is it water cooled? does he have the water feed plumbed in?

 

Some things not right there!!

They do glow if you cain them...but shouldn't just driving it!

Get it checked out a.s.a.p, it could be running VERY lean?

mine done this when my ignition timing retarded itself not good the turbo was constantly spining up but i was not going anywhere it was glowing to say the least

 

 

U didnt have to blow your car up over it hes only asking a question

That car must be running proper lean to make it glow like that, as already said i'd tell him not to drive it again until it gets checked out, could be fatal otherwise
