Default S2 RESTO HELP

Hi, i am restoring my s2, i have stripped the car down to a shell, there is nothing else to take off, no glass, no suspension, no brake lines, no doors, boot or bonnet, nothing, i now want to get the under seal off from underneath, i have the tools but dont fancy laying on my back, under the car with the grinder in my hand, i wanted to now if anyone could suggest how to put my car on its side, it doesnt weigh much but i dont want to just go and tip it over and bend something because of the weight and the way the car is lying, how should i support it, etc, if anyone has done this before please let me know how you did it as i seem to learn by mistakes an i dont want to learn "HOW NOT TO DAMAGE A S2 BY ADAM W", any help would be appreciated, cheeRS.

You need to make yourself a rollover jig.

To strip off the underseal, you need to use a combination of wire bush drill attachments, strip discs, etc. Its a long process! After the underseal is stripped I would suggest you get the shell sandblasted underneath toremove all traces of corrosion/surface rust and then give a good coat of etch primer.

As above the only sure way of not damaging it would be a rollover Jig, commonly refered to as a "Spit"....

Nice one, i will give it ago, i did think originally about using two mattress's, 1 underneath the car's side and 1 on the roof against the wall, but i dont really want to buy 2 new or second hand ones, it's to much hassle, i suppose i could have a roam around in the car tonight im sure i would be able to find 2 p**s and s**t stained mattresse's in and around the country lane's, no seriously i will try the tyre thing tommorrow, money is a bit tight so i will have to leave the jig (spit), unless i can make one, ,thanks again, adam.
