Probably a supercharged one, power to weight ratio favours the mini

If it was a 1997 one then its an actual mini not one of those BMW "gucchi handbag on wheels" things.

I rally with a guy called Geoff Watson who installs Honda Vtec's into Rover Minis

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...T/AddyT026.jpg

There are a few about, and the power to weight is awesome. 4x4 is not needed as the engines"run backwards" so instead of lifting whn accelerating hard, they dig down, aiding traction (easiest way to explain) A jaguar won't be the only car he'd have been able to blow away too.

SOMEBODYS TIRED

soz mate wasn't having a dig, but so many people have daft ideas about 4x4 being faster just becasue they are 4wd, RS500's being 500 bhp as standard etc etc

Jag sounds like a bit of fun anyway

There's plenty of proper mini's around these days that will beat alot of fast car's. My advice is don't be suprised when the funny little car kicks your ass

Whta do you mean the Jag; Its supposed to be 375 standard and we put a smaller charger pulley on and full exhaust system and filter and its given 40bhp we were expecting 430-450ish but engine managemenet needs to be altered and dads not keen on thta as he dont want it going wrong

wtf are you on about mate

i dont understand its not the engine that makes the car lift its the way the wheels travel that creates the lift

its imposible to stop because you would have to turn the wheels the other way

Its the crank spinning the other way. The new 2.0l in the Civic Type R spin as usual, like you Vauhall engine.

Thats how I understand it

but the crank spining the other way has no effect on wether the car lifts the front end that is all because of the force being transfered to the ground throw the wheels

must admit i was wondering about this bit.... surely for the front to be pulled down to the floor rather than lifted you'd need to be in reverse?

otherwise, surely all FWD car manufacturers would be doing this?
