I don't use any programs to do it for me, but I *do* try to get my bid in during the last 8 to 10 seconds of an auction that I want to win.

The up side is that it is unlikely you'll be outbid, but the downside is that you only get one shot and if you don't shoot high enough...you don't win if someone else had a higher proxy bid in already

Its a double-edged sword, but it works most of the time for me

Nah waht pisses me off is I was bidding on a Snap On screwdriver set worth new about £225 - on ebay slightly used for £35 (me as top bidder)

So rather than let it finish the cooont cancelled the auction I hate that! Jsut put a freakin reserve if there is a minimum you'll take for it FFS

I wait till last 20 secs then place the highest amount I am willing to pay, asdl helps as can refresh page in secs, this type of bidding is called sniping.

I used to do it manually but had the internet connection go to rat shit just at the wrong time once plus I sometimes used to forget about the auction until ten minutes after it finished!!LOL

With ensipe I just set-up it up and leave it, worth a look if your a manual sniper, it's free to use for the first 14 days as well!!

What really pisses me off is people who complain about getting outbidded
Its an auction FFS
You put in your HIGHEST bid you are prepared to pay and leave it, if the auction comes to an end and you were outbidded, obviously it went over the amount your prepared to pay, so no lose. If you win, great.

How simple is that

The sniper programs are cool for last minute bidding, but the above rule still applies. So whats the point

So Zoe, if you were willing to pay £700 for the wheels, put in £700, SIMPLE

Rant over
