i know it is = only a piss take (poor tony) - he loves it really.

nice - why you sell it then ??

my 16i is standard apart from a janspeed manifold and a blowing system.

I had to sell it,
as i'm only 22 ,had a big accident 2 1/2 years ago, got points on my licence and live in N Ireland insurance was out of the question for any normal car so I thought i'd buy myself a nice RS just for shows (I ended up with 2, NAV and a S2), i could not get insurance for NAV either apart from a days cover now and then (Cheers to Bob Deacon for arranging that!! Top man!!) But RS's are cars that are just a pleasure to own anyway so i didn't mind not being able to drive it.

I only brought it out for the occasional show and my dad drove it to the shows for me.
However an oppurtunity came up to buy a new fiesta with 2 years free insurance, so i had to think sensibly and get myself back on the road, which ment that NAV had to be sold and more recently I had to sell my S2 as well. The only consolation is that the car went to a very good home

I bet u weren't expecting a long story like that!!!

p.s Good result from ur car!!

all way's good to hear stuff like that matey.

i was well pleased with my bhp figures - for me 16i - as i only use it as a thrasher !!!!!

on the insurance thing - i pay £850 for the RST & £350 for the RSI

so thats quite a bit !!!!!!

The cheapest quote for my cars were:

RSI - £6500 Fully comp
RST - £7000 Fully comp
Fiesta zetec - £2100 Fully comp (just as well it's free for 2 years )

All the quotes were from elephant.co.uk

However Bob at Dominion added me on my dads policy for the 16i (which i paid for) for 1 day for the sum of £31.00

Thank your lucky stars u don't live in Northern Ireland!!!!!

Jamie Going looks happy getting out of Tony's car

Thats what I'm like when I get out of it (except when it breaks )

I am gutted I couldn't make the day but something very important came up .

Looks like a blinder of a day out.

BTW, thats probably the last time you will see the rallycar looking that clean

NUT RUS'S car =

way cool looking,
does it run a zetec or cvh? couldn't see the engine properly in the pic.

Pete, most younger drivers get quotes like that over here, especially if you've had an accident or points on ur licence. The quotes have started to get really silly in recent years.

The thought had crossed my mind that it was a rover engine (totally flat cam cover instead of the 2 raised bits on the zetec), but I thought...surely not a rover engine in a 16i?????????

still if it goes like a jet fighter thats all u want!!!!!

Woof woof - someone mention rover ?

Had to be done im afraid. Until uncle henry makes a ford engine that is all alloy and will rev freely without destructing itself its staying in there.

If that day ever comes I will swap it back to a Ford. Wonder if Kev's selling his top spec 88bhp engine ? Only need to fit 2 1/2 of them in

Only joking Kev - at least yours is original

Tony

I seen the pictures of that car, looked quite cool with the black steel rims.

Was it not in Fast Ford or Perf Ford a while back on one of their dyno seasons?
