Default need some advice, zetec turbo escort

ok need some advice, im going to just bought a mk5 wrc zetec turbo ,
apparently the guy said its got turbo problems it dont start,

would a nackard turbo stop it from starting?

i have not had chance to kick it over yet as newer got back till tonight with car and battery was flat.
just curious?
done a quick check under old cap and it looks normal, thinks it has not been used for long time as the tax ran out 2000 and looking under oil cap it looks dry.
anyone give me any pointers
thanks

Jason if you need a quick reply [afraid I can't help] have you tried posting about it in General Discussion?
