Default DVD screens

Getting an Alpine DVD player on Friday (IVA-D310RB). Only problem is, will the screen slide out far enough so that when it flips up it wont hit the 'hooded' bit above where the cd player goes? Im a bit worried about this now

Nice pc of kit I must say Im seriously considering the same unit!

I've seen it in operation and I recon it will 'just' clear.

Id be interested to know how you get on though! Oh and also curious as to how good a deal you got on yours.

Car Audio Security seem to be cheapest atm! did you get a better deal that what they are asking?

Bass junkies - Ł750

But im getting it from Soundmaster Scotland in Barrhead for Ł750, figured if anything goes wrong i can just turn up there

I thought it was just the head unit monitor it came with but it comes with a big fuck off box thing to run it! Ill need to hide it somewhere

This on e-bay shows the seperate control box:

The Navigation unit is seperate...I was original quoted Ł1200 for the Headunit and a further Ł1200 for the Nav.

Since your a good custemer I'll do it for Ł1k for the headunit. Yeah right!

I know that basing prices on the caraudio direct it was working out at Ł1500 for both.

Miss read your post I initialy thought you were talking about the external DVD and NAV system, which is the bollox btw...looks like you are right with the rather errrr large processor.

Need to research further.

Do you have the place in Barheads number? and what are they charging to fit?

***edited to add*** I was warned against American Imports as they dont have the same frequency for radio stations....ensure that your getting a UK unit

Telephone:0141 876 1819 or 1919

The guy said Ł100 to fit with extending all cables to hide the processor, he said usually head units are free fit. Its actually a really good wee shop the guy knows his stuff

He's actually got a d310 demo unit for Ł699 on his website

Found an option on the unit itself that brings it out another 10mm but it still hits the dash, if i could find a way of bringing the unit away from the dash even 5-10mm then it would be fine
