brake line which is just under the floor pan under the rear seats... looks to be just a connector jo join the brake lines.. has gone all scabby was wondering if when i make up a new line could i do away with this bit???

Hmm, I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the same part, as I have an XR4ti over in the US. There is a "T" on the under side of the car, but I figure that'd be obivious.
If it's quite small, probably just a union. If it's larger, could be the location of the factory prop valve. On the XR though, the prop valve is just under the Master Cylindar and Brake booster.
Doubt that helps but it's worth a shot

its all going down hill now for devon in general all you ever hear is people gettin bashed up mugged all sorts of crap..but hey .... theres quite a few people off this site who live locally and the rs owners page has a devon section..
