Phil i have a blue samco T4 size hose but it has been cut down a little to use a cone so may/may not now reach a standard airbox?

The dampers are on ebay for around a ton

The best place would probably be bolted to the turbo somehow

phil, the bailey type damper isn't all that great tbh, i have one and it looks good but doesn't quite do the job it's supposed to (managed to snap the bracket on the turbo with mine)
needs more bracing to prevent movement of the turbo towards the head IMO, RS500 would probably be the best if you can fit one, and i know a seller on e-bay has them for around a ton if not i'd have one fabricated by your tuner, whoever that may be now or somebody good who can make you one up

oh and if you do decide on that type get the genuine bailey one,the rose joints are shite on the copies, they rattle about and vibrate until they are finally hot enough and have expanded to keep them still

Phil can't use an original rs500 item as he is using a 4x4 head which doesn't have the lip to bolt it to. He could obviously use a spec-r or similar bracket to remedy that but he is far too grippy to go to all that expence

Agreed they are a bit shonky! More of a support than a damper but not man enough to be of much support to anything really

that's the problem, they look like they do a good job, and because they are shiny and have rose joints people buy them for well over £100, but all they do is hang the turbo, don't really offer any 'damping' and not much support

Phil,i'd be happy to send you mine temporarily so you can get a fabricator to make something similar (but better)
