Guys,
Just about to replace the front brakes on my daily runner (e39 528) next weekend and am a bit confused by pad choice.
I've just ordered a pair of standard pattern discs from gaybay, but not sure about pads. I've seen some good deals on Mintex pads but I've tried other ''fast road'' type pads before and not been impressed for everyday driving i.e. warm up time.
Also, I suspect these will not be kind to the discs
I'm not after anything special just a good pad that'll stop when I want to and wont chew up new discs, any ideas ???
CheeRS
Paul
ps German, Swedish and French, Europarts etc all seem to stock Textar pads anygood or just cheap crap ?

Cheers Andy,
Don't think they are that model/ spec to be honest the ebay ad quotes a reference of MDB1817
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-5-SERIES-E...QQcmdZViewItem
Probably a cheaper version

IMO The DS2500 take a little more heating up before they work really well, were as the 1144's worked fine from cold. The only problem i have found with 1144's is that on track use they got too hot and crack down the middle of the pad, but they were perfect for road use.
