Default Engine breather

I am at present rebuilding the engine in my 3dr, just need a little advice, at the moment my breather feeds from the rocker cover and is connected to the kidney box under the inlet manifold. the oil returns then goes to a fitting on the block under the exhaust manifold, was thinking of breathing from both sides of the block, direct and remove the kidney box, then have a fitting threaded into the sump for the oil drain, is this a better option than how it is now, if so anyone any idea of the size fittings and thread to get put in the sump and a rough idea of best position in sump, also what type of fittings to get for the block.

Thanks
Darren

Mine has a vent on the rocker cover, and uses the kidney box, these both go to a seperator ( bailey mirror image) And it has a drain back to the sump under the exhaust manifold, and the tank has a vent to atmosphere.

So the oil and air from the breathers go to the tank, which seperates the oil and air. air goes to atmoosphere, and oil reterns to the engine.

Doing it this way you can remove the breather to inlet manifold connection, and the red strainer valve goes in the bin too.
