Default Engine breather

I am at present rebuilding the engine in my 3dr, just need a little advice, at the moment my breather feeds from the rocker cover and is connected to the kidney box under the inlet manifold. the oil returns then goes to a fitting on the block under the exhaust manifold, was thinking of breathing from both sides of the block, direct and remove the kidney box, then have a fitting threaded into the sump for the oil drain, is this a better option than how it is now, if so anyone any idea of the size fittings and thread to get put in the sump and a rough idea of best position in sump, also what type of fittings to get for the block.

Thanks
Darren
