Obviously you've never tried to find any tech info on an XR4Ti, mate! Most 'Murricans think it's just an Escort with a weight problem...

Did find a local salvage yard with several XRs, as well as some Thunderbird TurboCoupes, so a T5 is in my future!

I have never done the mod myself, but looking at my S1 (which has pop outs std) the B-piller trim hides all the hinges, whilst the C-piller does have a recess and hole for the part that opens (part 4>13) So you might be best off getting hold of a pair of S1 or XR3 C-piller trims? Tho should be able to cut yours accordingly to make em fit - ask BI9 TRB (user on this BB) as he fitted the openeing quaters to his S2 a while back. Also James Raby is another I know that ahs done it

I just phoned Ford about them windows because one of the levers has broken on mine and the rubber isn't sealing no more.

Lever --> only £8.80
Rubber --> £33.10
