Default Tracing phone numbers

Does anyone know how to do this ?

I received a call at work whilst i was in a meeting and was quite short on the phone, a woman was asking me for some shipping quotes which would have possibly meant a nice little earner, but being a dumb ass, i didnt take her name, number or even company name as i was still involved in the other meeting, now its bugging the life out of me !!

Surely i can get a list of phone numbers that have called my number on that day ?

I tried BT, hopeless, and the police said without a crime they cannot help me !!!

Anyone else know of any ways, on the 27th Feb so not too long ago...

Theres a drink in it for someone !!

Did you receive it on a land line or a mobile ?

To a stand alone phone or through a switchboad ?

If it was through a switchboard, then get onto the manufacturer of the switch there may be some call logging facilities on it.

If it was to a stand alone line you are screwed.

If it was easy to trace incoming calls to a number then all those pervs who make obscene phone calls would get banged up in minutes

Like I said, if that was possible then Obscene Phone Callers and people who make nuisance calls would all get nicked straight away.

I assume the obscene callers would block their identity, but surely other people who call may not block their identity ?
