oil leak

Default oil leak

i think i have a slight oil leak coming from around the dizzy area..

how is the dizzy sealed to the block??

nothing major but starting to get damp with oil in that area

it has a retaining plate between the dizzy and the block with 1 bolt holding it in, also there is an 'O' ring from memory

ahh right..

seems to be coming from around that bolt...

maybe working loose due the the solid engine mounts??
its into AVA for a check over on sat anyway but wanted to buy any seals or gaskets so it could be fixed while its there.

check it's not from somewhere else, weeping rocker gasket springs to mind,or even camshaft seals (not sure the oil from these would get by the dizzy though,but you never know )

yeah know they usually do it from rocker etc but the oil isnt as high up the block as that...

its just sitting around the dizzy andon the wee kinda legde at the bottom of the block

Also get the rubber 'o' ring seals that are inbetween the oil filter fitting to block m8

Leak quite often

Need to take oil filter off to change them though
