Default Bentley Arnage Turbo....

Did a windscreen on one of these today;

Then noticed what I thought was a considerably sized turbo;

But I couldn't find another one in there... Which I thought was a bit odd for a V8 lump - thought the Arnage T's were twin turbo?

newer ones use twin T3's i believe, the older ones ( mulsanne turbo ) used a single T4 ( or variant of it )

Bentleys run a single T4 with external gate.

IIRC compared to a RS500 T4, they have a slightly smaller flowing comp side, and a bigger ex side (well, its a full T4, rather than the RS500 which has a large T3 exhaust side).

Not much for such a big engine, but remember they dont rev, arnt huge power, and have to have huge instant responce, they quick whafters not sports cars.

I couldn't get a decent pic of the exhaust housing as the heat shield covers most of it....

I thought it looked T4-ish in size, which is why I was surprised it only had one, seeing as it's nearly 7litres in a V8 lump... Seems a bit asmatic to only have one turbo for such a large lump...

but yeah, it don't rev at all... Took it out the workshop and parked it round the back - we have nice little straight (only short, but you can nail it for a second or two to feel throttle resonse ) and it did fuck all My van picks up better than that barge lol...
