Ok need help here, is there any definate way of identifying a -31 actuator over a stock actuator?

And also how do i know if an ECU is chipped? Got a local lad selling what he says is a "hearts and diamonds' ECU.... what is it and how do i clarify that it is what its supposed to be.

a -31 actuator will have -31 written on the end of the part number on the face.

an ecu will need the cover taking off and looking at the chip to see what is written on it as most are branded.
