Hey guys,
Went to see the car on Saturday before it gets sprayed - my mate Simon was just fiddling around with some final touches on locating the air-filter before it was having final bodywork sorted before it's respray on Monday afternoon. It's been a long time coming (off the road for 7 months) so to see it near to completion is a good feeling.
I heard the car running and it sounds very loud (unfortunately I didn't think to take a vid clip of it running at the time
). All hoses are plumbed in but the ERST top boost hose won't fit to the Pace chargecooler so I'm having to use the standard Ford hose for the mean time.
Here are some pics for you to look and see how it's coming along - not long now:
Some pics of the car how it was on Saturday:

Engine bay with hoses strewn about

A very mucky interior!

Showing how I managed to keep the flexi-joint in the Mongoose exhaust mounted to a T3 downpipe I got with the turbo (bought months ago)

This shows the location of where the air filter will be once it's all plumbed in - under the battery tray itself next to the gearbox

Front end again

Rear arches placed on side to show how much clearance the rear has - might be a problem when putting the rear bumper back on

Another of the same shot above but with the flash on!

I should get it back on Wednesday - which is nice
Cheers,
Andy

Hey guys,
Thanks for the comments!
Here are the finished pics - not sure whether to put the mk3.5 Ford badges on or not?

What do you guys think?
Cheers,
Andy

Escort Cossie rims seem to look the bollocks on every car, really like the top of the bumpers having the trim line smoothed, i think i would leave the badges off if i were you, looks proper nice mate!

Thanks for all the comments guys!
The car's on AVO coilovers and the front needs raising slightly to stop so much rubbing when on the turn (fine when going in a straight line over bumps - looks like it's catching the wheel arch spat just at the back).
No engine pics at the moment as I didn't get a chance to clean it all up today but it's looking pretty good although I'm missing one Samco hose (unfortunately S2 T3 top boost hose wont' fit with T3 on T2 pace chargecooler
)
The spec. of the car is Specialised Engines stage 2 1.9 American tall block engine with Turboforce stage 2 T3 (non-water cooled - originally meant for an S1 RST), Bernie stage 2 box with Quaife ATB diff, Cossie brakes up front, mk6 rs2000 rear discs, AVO coilovers, strut brace, Mongoose s/s exhaust system with 4" rolled out exhaust, Pace chargecooler and the car is running standard management on low boost I get the car up to Gadget for him to work his magic with the Cossie management kit that I've got!
I'll be at Ford Fair on the fiestaturbo.com stand so look out for me there - I'll show off the box of tricks that I have inside too
Cheers,
Andy

looks I want to keep the car as modified standard look - not into changing the car into something it isn't, more a subtle version of the standard (kinda like my own interpretation of how I think the FRST should have looked).
I may change my mind about the rear end but to be honest this is as far as I want to take it with regards to body mods!

Here's a vid clip taken from some camcorder footage taken this evening (right click and save target as - 5.78mb):
http://www.fiestaturbo.nildram.co.uk...s/tubsmall.mpg
I'm just running it in at the moment - holding about 3psi boost and peaking at about 5!
Can't wait for the Cossie management and map up at Grove Garage now!
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks guys!
I've put the lightly smoked rear clusters on the car today...

The pictures don't really do the clusters justice - they're alot closer to the grey of the car but unfortunately the lighting for those shots wasn't great.
I think it really finished the outside of the car off - I'm still unsure about the Ford badges though!
Cheers,
Andy

I took some more photos of the car today (my apologies to those of you on 56k connections!) - still working on the carputer install but will have that finished by tomorrow lunchtime hopefully so I can concentrate on getting the suspension height right in the afternoon!

It looks messy but it's not far from finished now!
Cheers,
Andy

) and new sills welded in etc. for Ł1500.Thanks for the comments guys - been a long time in the coming but I'm only really into subtle body mods - like to concentrate my efforts on making the car perform better rather than get weighed down with jap-pap and filler!
Cheers,
Andy
