hi guys, have had a slow puncher on my michelin pilot sport and it has caused damage to the inner side walls. i find this a little worrying and i need a new tyre as soon as possible. however, ive seen a price for £152 on mytyres.co.uk but was wondering if there was any where good that us RS owners shop exclusively or something?? im reluctant to put one budget tyre on with 3 michelins despite them being half the price. wots the opinion on michelin compared to budgets? i only ever used budgets on my GTI6 and had no probs but ive only had the michelins on the RS since ive had it so i dont know the difference.

not sure exactly wot to do? wots the general opinion on budget tyres?

wen my old man had the car (bought it off him) think he got them for £130 ish. aint had chance to see him yet thou but think it was off the local town tyres.

these performance cars do cost performance money!! lol

 

just out of curiosity. . . any body found a better tyre than the michelin for the RS?

 

you m,ay struggle to get a matchijng tread pattern/tyre type as I think they may have superseded the originals...???? Just worth noting to check

 

got a tyre from my loacal garage, £135. my bro told me they have changed the tread pattern but im not worried about that. as long as its michelin rubber on the road im happy.

 

Don't EVER put budget tyres on a quick car, I had to put some on my RWD sapphire, as i was skint, and it turned the car into a horrible peice of shit, made it handle like it had a hinge in the middle
