Default Orange peel paintwork

Whilst looking at a mates car, I noticed that it has intermittant orange peel paint on one side of the car.

The car is painted in a metallic paint, but is it possible to remove the orange peel appearance without resorting to having the car resprayed?

usually, yes. Flat it down with 1500, and then buff it back up - careful as u dont know how thick the paint is is, and u dont want to go through.
