best dump valve
what is the best dump valve to use on a small or big turbo cossie.

The Standard one is best for the ST for a few reasons.
NEVER take it off the ST type, ignore the poor advise on this post in that direction

Depends how long you want your turbo to last....
Dump Valves are fitted for a reason..... And it ain't the Pssstttttchhhhh noise either.

If you listen to Stu, its a bad idea to remove the std DV from a ST, think to do with the AFM.
But actually, knowing where the DV is on a standard ST, i doubt you will notice it actually already has one...

Correct, teh un dumped air on one equipped without one flows through the airflow meter backwards... the AFM has no sense of direction so adds fuel for teh air it saw pass through it....
Same problem occurs when folk fit an aftermarket one as WELL as the std one... all the dumped air has fuel added into teh cylinders for it.
+ The turbo response will be poorer if you remove teh standard one as it actually exits directly onto the compressor blades. very nice design indeed.
