strange noises
Finally got round to fitting a RS500 GGR induction kit to my car today and it now makes very strange noises.
it chips like crazy anything above half a bar of boost and sounds like darth vader breathing at almost every gear change.
i know the air box is a silencer but i didnt expect this much of an increase in noise
Also, why does the car chirp then dump??
Its a GGR dump valve.
any ideas folks??

Chirps and dumps as the dumper dont flow enough air to let it all out, so some still comes out the turbo and chatters.
Tis normal, I remember I was shocked at th amount of noise at first.
Take off the dumper and itl be extra extra crazy loud, tho maybe not a good plan, depends how much faith you have in your turbo.

dont like it or dislkie it just wanted to check that everything seems ok.
turbo should last ok but will leave the DV on.
do certian DV flow more air??
would two DV's help this?
GGR dump valves are one of the better ones.
Spring strength is another thing that will disctate how long they open for, so hence how much they flow.
2 would flow more, but might do more bad than good, ie dump our more air than needed, so worse throttle responce.
Stick with what you got IMO

Mine makes loads of noise as well
its running a 500 GGR cone filter and no dump valve using a T34. Didnt like it at first but you will get used to it.
I was going to stick back in a standard air box but the car has a mirror image catch tank in the space
