i have converted a mk3 to frst power! i went to start the car and it was turning over and thats it.under inspection i noticed i was not getting a spark.i changed the cps and checked EVerything was all plugged on correctly. The coil pack is fine and is getting power. Then under inspection of the loom i noticed that on the plug that connects to the EDIS-4 unit, the GREEN/YELLOW wire is broke.i took all the at off that part of loom hoping to find the other bit of wire so that i could re-connect this...................................But it wasnt there??
i checked the plug ends to find where the wire goes to but cannot see it on the end of ANY plugs.i checked to see if the cps was getting a live feed and it wasnt??? ive since been told that the cps doesnt work off of a live feed!!! is this true???
IF SOMEONE COULD PLEASE tell me what this wire does and where it goes i would be very very very happy again.im starting to get very disheartened as i know ive done everything right and the fu#kinm thing still wont start!!!!!!!!!!

the crank sensor should have a blue/yellow (pin 5 on EDIS) and a blue/green (pin 6 on EDIS), the blue/green will have a brown ( pin 7 on EDIS) branched into it by the edis.
the only thing i can see about a green and yellow wire looking in the haynes is on 1.1,1.3 CFI and 1.4 CFI 91 on and thats pin 12 on edis,
on FRST ( and 1.8 dohc) pin 12 is green on its own, but it goes to ignition coil, same as 1.1 etc, and in the same place (out side pin, doesnt say which one) how ever the FRST has 2 green wires, 1 goes to each outer pin of coil, 1.1 etc have a green/yellow and a green and red.
i know this may not be what ya asking for mate but from what im looking at the FRST doesnt have a green/yellow wire,
are you sure you have the right loom for the ecu your using ? ofab ecu and ofac loom for example,
as for the queston on the CPS..........

my mate has got a H plate fez rst and he has a green/yellow wire in the same place as mine??? i dont know what the pin no is,but with it plugged in,if you were looking at the edis module from the the front of the car,it is one in from the left???? my mate doesnt want to unwrap his loom(i dont blame him) so that we can see where it goes.
when i took the looms out(as ive got a frst in car loom aswell) the car i took it off was working properly, its only when mine wouldnt start that i noticed the broken wire!!!!

mine has a green and yellow wire also, but i was going on a haynes manual....
this wire should go to the coil mate..
i would check the edis itself, and the CPS again mate.

can you get a pic of what wire you talking about? ive seen some looms with a wire connected to another via a scotch lock for some reason, maybe yours need it?
