what does a standard escort rs turbo run on the 1/4 mile?

16.8 is the official i think. but a friend of mine in a rover ran 16.2 and i can pull away from him in my standard rst

rick, doubt its far off that... my modded XR4x4 (quicker than a std rst easily) was running mid 16s (i got a 15.9 but we're taking full on clutch-sidestepping launch here)

My 250bhp RST only managed a 14.75

Want to try again though now the OTT soundsystem has been removed (along with just about everything else)

Steve you plonker ,standard S2 doing it in 14's you are well out their matey , standard will defo be in the 16 second bracket.

what brake was that running mate.mine done a high 16 last year.since added better exhaust and run it on optimax.is this a good time for the car?

your looking around the 16's for a standerd well maintained car with good tyres.

so get your spanners out, spend a few grand, have a play and get in the 13's

Powerfull fwd fords make absoulutely wank drag cars imo. Dont know why folk bother with them if they want to be quick on the 1/4. Doesnt mean there slow cars tho, there just cack at pulling off.
