Yesterday the front left speaker started 'farting' at a certain volume as it does when it's burst.

I bought 2 new pioneer speakers, fitted one and it did the same thing. Fitted the other new one and an old one i know works ok and still this burst noise when it's not even up that loud

Any ideas??

 

could it be broken speaker wires, say they touching together.

 

or, the amp is shagged

 

If its not a wiring issue, and I would check the loom all the way back to the head unit. It sounds like a trim part, could be the grille or someting else quite nearby is loose/damaged and is vibrating.

 

Sling a spare deck in and see if it still does it. Had this on my work van and it turned out the Pony head unit was playing up

 

if you have cranked it right up then its 'clipping' where the speaker cant take any more.

turn it down a bit of buy some proppa bo speakers lol
