By this i take it you dont have a boost gauge, best get one before you do anything else, for all you no you could be running very high boost, hence the wheel spin in third, with a standard car, that is not very good

Toatally agree mate, roughly 21/22 psi, T35, eight greens, 402 atw wheels so thats roughly 450 bhp fly wheel, some how that seems a bit high me thinks

If your running yellow injectors then your gonna be (if done properly, around 15psi altho some have been known to run a little more) stage 1. Stage 2 is light greens (355's) which is the same as stage 1 but little bit more boost, around 18psi...then your onto stage 3 which on its bare min is dark greens (803's) running around 20-22ish psi along with a 3bar map sensor...if your sensible then you would add to this a hybrid T3 (360 bearing) or more idealy a T34/T35 along with a RS500 intercooler.....after this state of standard tuning the road splits up into many directions and fashions which would lead to a never ending topic lol

doesn't matter if he's running 8x1000cc injectors, at 1.5 bar boost through a t34 (or t35 as so many call it ) it will still only make around 340

i run 2 bar through my t34.63 and would say that was 380 ish, my old greens set up was peak 1.7bar and hold 1.5, which was only around 350 i reckon

IF he is running 8 greens then he could run much more boost and get into the high 3's

running rich would indicate you could possibly run a bit more boost

what's the complete spec then?

1.5 bar is around 22psi, not enough IMO to make 400@wheels on that spec, also wouldn't need 8 injectors??

you sure it's only 1.5bar

Re-read my post Martin, I was basically saying what you just said

And yes I missed the point about the actual level of boost that was being used

But as I'm sure Karl has told you as well, you'll only ever get 380BHP tops out of a T34!

(I've met Karl before cos I'm CharlieSaff's son)

yeah did see your post, and i agree 380 is around tops for a T34, but don't forget the sunbeam that Karl's bro races is 400bhp from memory. I guess my point was that yes he has the injector capacity to get 400bhp@wheels, but not the turbo or boost level

402ATW on a cossie is normally 500bhp+ @ fly, i cant see that happening on that spec unless there is a mistake on what turbo it is? cause a T34 wont do it.

Unless I am mistaken, this is your car, correct?

So surely you can see what spec it is by looking under the bonnet???

Is the turbo a bit bigger than standard, or massive? And what colour are all eight of the injectors?

Not everyone knows what a turbo is just by glancing at it.

Must admit the green injector thing is pretty easy to spot though

One thing i would say, is if the car has changed hands a couple of times since it was mapped, i would seriously think about getting its fuelling checked over in case anyone has changed the turbo spec etc.

Fair play Chip, but a T4 is massive compared to a T3 ect if you get my drift

By the sounds of it, it may have once been this spec but was down graded before it was sold?

To anyone vaguely familiar to a cossie, yes its very obvious, but he might not have a clue about what different turbos look like.
