Default I'm new here. Little help?

Hi all. I've reasently developed a severe longing for an escort cossie. An I'm sure fire not ashamed off it. A friend of mine who has a S2 RST sent me this way cuz he say's I'll get all questions answered from you guy's. I'm looking to get a standard one, but i want it tuned at a later date. can anyone tell me what would be best power for money, live mapping or chip? Life story I know

Over 330/340 things start to get a lot more expensive, with low comp pistons ect. If your looking for nearer 400 then you will be at the limit for the standard box aswell. For 340 your looking at a chip, 3 bar map, uprated acutator, exhaust and filter. Prob best to add a uprated head gasket too.

maybe better to look for a alreadly modded then you would spend more dosh to get a standard one then spend modding it,which in turn devalued it,if that makes sence

Also, while i'm on about tuning, what do you reckon to fitting an RS500 intercooler? I.e. Is it worth it on 340 break?

Yes I bought mine as a stage 1 escos and did a stage 3 setup (with out the uprated head gasket) and I can confirm that you will save a fair amount of money by getting one that has already been done!

Only if you don't have aircon, as one won't fit in without an awful lot of work, if at all.
